Upload an Encoded Video to a CDN with a separate API request

Bruno Celeste (@brunoceleste)

February 21, 2013 Features

We have added a new API method to the Encoded Video Resource so you can make us upload an encoded video to a specified CDN.

This is totally separate from the Job Delivery Options which means we can upload an encoded video to an unlimited number of Amazon S3 buckets, FTP spaces, Rackspace or CloudFront accounts at any time.

As usual, the API is very simple and uses the Ping Principle:

curl -i -u HW-API-Key:apikey -X POST \
-d "directive=s3://accesskey:secretkey@bucket/videos/" \
-d "ping_url=http://mysite.com/coconut/ping/upload" \
"http://coconut.com/encoded_video/19074226/upload.json"

You can read the complete documentation.
