November 08, 2017 Customers
We are so thrilled to announce that Coconut partners with CloudApp. CloudApp is an image and video sharing platform. Over 2 million professionals use CloudApp to report bugs, explain features, offer support, and sell more.
We had the chance to interview Daniel Fisher, VP Engineering & Product at CloudApp.
Hi Daniel, why did you decide to move your video encoding to the Cloud?
Video encoding on the Cloud is obvious to us: scale. We need the ability to elastically scale.
Why did you choose Coconut?
We selected Coconut because the pricing seemed very fair, especially with the team willing to work with our needs as a startup; additionally the API was straightforward to work with.
How fast and handy was your integration with Coconut?
Our integration as fairly straightforward. We setup a pipeline in AWS between SNS and Lambda to feed between our videos and Coconut then back again through webhooks.
Working with Coconut was fairly straight forward. We were impressed with the API docs.
