We had the chance to interview Wojtek Olearczyk, Engineering Director at Global App Testing.
Wojtek, why did you decide to move your video encoding to the Cloud for Global App Testing?
We were always on a cloud.
Transcoding in the cloud gives us more flexibility when it comes to scaling as the service grows and during a week when the traffic is variable.
Why did you choose Coconut?
After careful consideration and analysis, Coconut was a clear winner when it came to pricing and not charging for failed transcoding is a nice touch!
How fast and handy was your integration with Coconut?
Integration went smoothly but required some extra time to kick-off compared to other 3rd party solutions. API commands format is unusual, but we used a library so it wasn’t a problem. Webhook Inspector and all the debuggers are extremely helpful.
"We decided upon using Coconut for transcoding videos for our platform after careful consideration. We definitely did not regret our decision."
